A Houma man wanted for domestic abuse battery and failure to appear was arrested early Friday when Houma Police.

Officers Joe Renfro and Joe Lodrigue were patrolling the 100 block of Prince Collins at 3:11 a.m. when they spotted Ronald J. Short, 23, of 303 Stovall St., walking between residences, spokesman Lt. Todd Duplantis said. When they attempted to stop Short, he ran toward Scott Lane. Lodrigue chased him, apprehending him on the 100 block of Scott Lane.

Short was wanted on two warrants issued by the 32nd Judicial District Court for domestic abuse battery and failure to appear. He was arrested and transported to the Terrebonne Parish Jail.
