The Houma Police Department is reaching out to our community and asking for donations to help those affected by the recent floods in Georgia and North Carolina. Local first responders will be collecting items to support the victims.

Donations can be dropped off at the Houma Police Department, today (October 8, 2024) through Thursday (October 10, 2024) from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM.

Requested items include but are not limited to:

  • Solar lights
  • Motor oil
  • TruFuel pre-mix
  • Laundry detergent
  • Winter jackets, hats, and gloves
  • Wool socks
  • Flashlights
  • N-95 masks
  • Duct tape
  • Extension cords
  • Sleeping bags
  • Lamps/Lamp oil
  • Toys
  • Charcoal grills
  • Propane heaters, cooking stoves, and adapters
  • Kitty litter
