La 1 to close temporarily Saturday

The Thibodaux Public Works Department will temporarily close Louisiana Highway 1 between Jackson Street and West 2nd Saturday, Oct. 23 for required water distribution line work.

The closure will begin at 6 a.m. and will take approximately 8 hours to complete.

To avoid this location, motorists should consider alternate routes via LA 308.

Normal traffic flow on LA Hwy 1 will resume once the work is complete.
