According to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, LA 1 is now CLOSED south of the Leon Theriot Lock (and levee system) in Golden Meadow. The road is impassable due to high water.
Please, do not drive through standing water or flooded roadways. Do not attempt to pass through police barricades marking roads as closed.
