From the Lafourche Parish Government:
River Birch Landfill will be closed beginning at 1pm today and all day tomorrow.
Today’s Lafourche garbage services will be completed; however, the trucks will not have time to dump at the landfill.
As a result and also considering the weather forecast for tomorrow, regular garbage service will now be cancelled on Tuesday, Mardi Gras Day.
