His Brightest Stars Nonprofit Corporation is excited to announce their First Annual Food Truck Competition and Craft Show, bringing a great time to the Bayou and raising funds for their new Special Needs Shine Bright Scholarship Program.

“One of His Brightest Stars Nonprofits’ many dreams is to provide scholarships to our very deserving special needs individuals graduating high school. Regardless of if they are going directly into the workforce or attending higher education, we want to give them what they need for the next step of their journey through life,” reads a statement from His Brightest Stars Nonprofit. “There are many special needs individuals who graduate high school but may not have the academic grades to obtain a scholarship. Our program will look past grades and focus on the achievements that were made during their life, as well as the path the individuals want to take for their future going forward.”

The Special Needs Shine Bright Scholarship Program is intended to assist deserving special needs individuals who are graduating and entering the workforce or higher education. The program will provide financial assistance for educational, daily needs, or recreational opportunities. It may be used towards daily living, workwear, tutoring, education, or other tools or devices to help individuals progress into a productive and fulfilling life once they have graduated high school.

The His Brightest Stars 2024 Food Truck Competition and Craft Show will be held on November 17, 2024 at the Cutoff Youth Center from 10:30 AM-5:00 PM. Attendees will be able to enjoy live music, a live auction, and a kids activity corner, as well as kid-friendly food booths, food trucks, and over 40 craft booths.

“Our nonprofit was founded in March of 2023, and since then, we have changed hundreds of lives in our community and touched thousands of hearts along the way,” said Founder and Director Jordan Gisclair. “Our Special Need Involvement Projects, inclusive community events, banquets, and community outreach efforts are just a few highlights of what we do to make a difference in our community. Our motto is Everyone Deserves to Shine, and we want to continue shining that light on our amazing special needs individuals within our community.”

Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 6-12 years, and children under 5 years are free. All funds will help benefit the 2025 scholarships program. For more information about His Brightest Stars and their organization, please visit their Facebook page.
