First-year docs learning on the front line at Chabert

April 24, 2009Robin Porche, of LaRussa Real Estate, was named 2008 Realtor of the Year at the Bayou Board of Realtors’ recent recognition and installation banquet.
In presenting the organization’s top award, 2008 board President Pamela Testroet said Porche was chosen by a panel because of her community work and her efforts in the interest of Realtors.
The Bayou Board of Realtors presented Beverly Guidry, of Beverly Guidry and Associates, with the 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award. Nominated by her peers, Guidry has more than 33 years of leadership, service and contributions to the real estate profession.
The group’s 2008 Rookie of the Year Award was given to Erica Duet, of RE/MAX Good Earth Realty. A four-year member of the Bayou Board of Realtors, Duet was nominated for the award based on her professional involvement and contributions to better the organization.
Lisa Himel, of LaRussa Real Estate, was presented the 2008 Community Service Award for her work with nonprofit charitable groups on non-Realtor events.
And Testroet, who is a member of the RE/MAX Good Earth Realty team, was given the Realtor Congeniality Award for her professionalism, patience and cooperative spirit toward fellow Realtors and the public. Lucy Duprey, of LaRussa Real Estate, presented the honor.
Allstate Insurance’s Eric Landry was given the Affiliate of the Year Award for his congenial attitude during real estate transactions and Bayou Board of Realtors activities.
Douglas Frickey, of A-Pro Home Inspection Services, was named Entrepreneur of the Year. Testroet said Frickey “is an individual who organizes, manages and assumes the risk of a business with success.”
At the banquet, 2009 officers for the organization were also sworn into office by Robert Boudreaux. They are Cynthia Pellegrin, Lisa Murphy, Lucy Duprey, Vickie Cancienne, D’Juan Sims-Suggs, Tiffany Rabalais, Robin Porche, Charlotte Grace, Debra Chauvin, Shirin Nail, Ronnie Grizzaffi, Synde Devillier, Pamela Testroet, Hollis Joseph and Jeff Donnes.
Devillier was also named the 2009 president of the local Realtor organization.
