Building code permitting questions answered

The South Central Regional Code Council will hold a question and answer session regarding the new building code permitting process Thursday.

The session will be held at the Louisiana Technical College, River Parishes Campus, at 181 Regala Park Road in Reserve.

Beginning at 3 p.m., home designers’ questions will be addressed. From 3:45 to 4:30 p.m., building will be the topic. General contractors, framing carpenters, roofing contractors and individuals are welcome.

From 4:30 to 5:15 p.m., the foundation will be discussed. Again, general contractors and concrete finishers are invited.

The afternoon rounds out with talks on plumbing (5:15 to 6 p.m.); electrical (6 to 6:45 p.m.), mechanical (6:45 to 7:30 p.m.); and insulation issues (7:30 to 8 p.m.).
