October 17, 2007Ernest Freyou and Robert L. Wolfe Jr. were elected to Teche Holding Company’s board of directors at the firm’s Sept. 19 monthly meeting.
Both men previously served on the Teche Federal Bank board.
“We are proud to have Mr. Freyou and Mr. Wolfe join us on the board of directors for Teche Holding Company,” said Patrick Little, president and CEO of Teche Federal Bank. “Each of these gentlemen brings many years of business and banking experience to our organization.”
Freyou was previously president of Regions Bank of Acadiana until his retirement in January 2005. Before the merger with Regions Bank, he was president and CEO of New Iberia Bank. Freyou also served three years as the director of the National Bank for Cooperatives (Co-Bank), a farm credit bank, in Denver, Colo.
Before his banking career, Freyou was secretary-treasurer of the Iberia Parish Police Jury where he retired following 20 years of service. He is currently running for parish president of Iberia Parish.
Wolfe served on the board of First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Opelousas. After the merger between First Federal and Teche Federal in 2004, Wolfe was a member of the St. Landry Advisory Board of Teche. He is co-owner, president and CEO of Morgan Goudeau & Associates, Inc., an engineering and land-surveying firm in Opelousas.
Wolfe is engineer for the City of Opelousas, Town of Arnaudville, Town of Port Barre, Village of Cankton and the St. Landry Parish Government. He is a past member of the Opelousas Industrial Development Corporation and on the Building Appeals Board for the City of Opelousas.
Wolfe is a member of the Louisiana Engineering Society, Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors, American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Water Works Association.
Teche Federal operates 20 offices in Louisiana, including sites in Terrebonne, Lafourche and St. Mary parishes.
