Plans have been set for the Louisiana Workforce Commission Work Pay$ Job Fair at the Holiday Inn in Houma, beginning with a breakfast for business owners and their representatives at 8 a.m.

Opening to candidates for employment at 9:30 a.m., Work Pay$ is designed to bring job-ready individuals with disabilities face-to-face with perspective employers.

Employers, job seekers and the general public are encouraged to participate and learn the benefits of a diversified workforce for individual businesses and the overall economy.

The event is designed to act in part as a mini symposium where participants are provided a variety of information on related topics regarding employment. This includes listing federal tax benefits for employers who hire persons with physical or developmental challenges.

Detailed information on the Work Pay$ Job Fair can be secured by calling (985) 876-8946, sending an email to LWC Business Services Representative Cheri Blanchard at cblanchard1@lwc.la.gov or visiting the web site www.work-pays.org.
