Anne Perry, Bayou Region director for Louisiana Economic Development, recently graduated from the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute (OU/EDI).

The OU/EDI course, accredited by the International Economic Development Council, provides advanced education for economic development professionals covering a range of topics. The course focuses on three major areas: business retention and expansion, real estate and finance. Other areas of study include: marketing, strategic planning and managing economic development organizations.

To earn credit for the course, students must complete 117 hours of instruction through seminars, workshops and discussion groups.

As the Bayou Region director, Perry works with businesses considering relocating or expanding in Lafourche, Terrebonne and Assumption parishes.
