September 16, 2010The St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce will host a series of political forums to give candidates seeking office in the parish an opportunity to pitch their platforms to citizens.
According to Chamber Director Donna Meyer, “each forum will give all opposed candidates a chance to express their priorities that they will address if elected.”
Although the public will not openly question candidates, residents can visit with those running before and after the forums.
“No matter if you’re a candidate or a member of the audience, each event will give everyone an opportunity to express their concerns,” Meyer said.
