Do you have a photographic eye? Want to volunteer time shooting festivities at the 2011 New Orleans Jazz Fest?

The Jazz & Heritage Foundation Archive is accepting applications from photographers wishing to document the event as part of the Volunteer Photography Program. Dates for next year’s Jazz Fest are April 20 through May 1 and May 5 through May 8.

Amateur, student or professional photographers may apply at www.callforentry.org. The deadline for applications is Nov. 30. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to participate, and all photographers are responsible their own gear.

A panel of photographers will review all applications. No more than 150 applications will be considered for the 16 available volunteer slots.

Selected volunteer photographers are responsible for providing a CD or DVD of the images taken at the festival along with a complete index of images on the index. Photographers will retain all copyright ownership of their images, but grant the foundation permission to use the shots for educational and noncommercial purposes.
