At 1111 AM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 11 miles south of Amelia, or 15 miles southeast of Morgan City, moving northeast at 30 mph.
Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail are possible with this storm. Locations impacted include Houma, Thibodaux, Schriever, Gray and Bayou Cane.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
