November 17, 2006A fight on a Terrebonne Parish school bus Monday afternoon has landed four juveniles and three adults in jail, according to a Sheriff’s Office spokesman.
Capt. Malcolm Wolfe said the fight broke out around 3 p.m. between students from H.L. Bourgeois High School and Evergreen Jr. High School.
When the bus arrived at 415 La. 20 in Schriever, the fight continued, with parents of the juveniles joining in, Wolfe said. Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s deputies arrived to find a brawl in progress, he said. Officers with the Thibodaux Police Department and Louisiana State Police Troop C arrived to assist.
Before the fight was stopped, a 15-year-old female attacked two deputies, Wolfe said. She was arrested and booked into the Terrebonne Parish Juvenile Jail.
Four juveniles were arrested for fighting, he said.
One teen suffered a cut above her right eye, and was treated by Acadian Ambulance Service, Wolfe said.
Stephanie Neal, 35, 525 La. 20, Schriever, was issued a misdemeanor summons for simple battery. Arrested were: Shanice Jones, 18, 415 La. 20, Schriever; Aretha Pollard, 30, 413 Carol St., Thibodaux; and Andrew Pollard, 29, 413 Carol St. Thibodaux.
The Pollards were charged with inciting a riot, four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling.
Wolfe said all four adults were booked into the Terrebonne Parish Jail.
The case remains under investigation, and Wolfe said additional arrests may follow.
