Panhandling ends with drug arrest

A 50-year-old Houma woman was arrested Monday morning after she reportedly harassed customers for cash at the Lynn Park Shopping Center, Houma Police said.

Cindy Miorana, of 1404 Bond St., Apt. A, had marijuana in her possession, according to authorities. She became uncooperative when police attempted to arrest her.

Miorana was charged with possession of marijuana and resisting an officer. The small amount of marijuana was seized for evidence, police said.
