Two brothers from Berwick were injured over the weekend after a tragic accident involving a party bus. One succumbed to his injuries earlier this week.
The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office released the following update to their original statement:
21-year-old Austin Jenkins has passed away due to injuries from the party bus accident that occurred early Saturday morning. The brother, 19-year-old, Denver Jenkins, is still listed in critical condition.
According to Sheriff Bobby Webre, “preliminary investigation indicates there is no sign of foul play and appears to be a tragic accident.”
This investigation is ongoing and more information may be available at a later date.
