The Louisiana Land Trust, in conjunction with Lafourche Parish Government, has scheduled a public auction this Saturday for several properties around Lafourche Parish.

The auction will be held at the Mathews Government Complex at 4876 Highway 1 in Mathews beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16.

The money generated from the property sales will go to Lafourche Parish for Community Development Block Grant projects.

“This is an excellent opportunity for citizens to invest in the community,” said Parish President Charlotte Randolph. “Not only can they purchase property vacated after the hurricanes, but the money used to purchase these properties will go toward future parish projects.”

Properties to be auctioned off include:

315 E. 19th Street, Cut Off

21606 Highway 1, Golden Meadow

20788 Highway 1, Golden Meadow

449 Triple Oaks Drive, Raceland

111 Chetta Place, Houma

1511 Highway 665, Montegut

309 Cypress Avenue, Montegut

Gilmore Auction & Realty Co. will conduct Saturday’s auctions. Registration will begin at 8 a.m.
