Saints work on special teams errors
August 15, 2007Larry Walker, who had led Chabert Medical Center in Houma as the hospital’s chief administrator only since Sept. 12, 2007, resigned from the position on July 12, Louisiana State University Health Care Services Division spokesman Marvin McGraw said.
The resignation came after Walker had been placed on administrative leave.
Officials at LSU said that Walker left to pursue other work prospects.
Attorneys representing the university could not remark on possible litigation concerning the matter.
Walker was formerly CEO of the East Texas Medical Center in Gilmer, Texas.
Chabert’s new acting administrator is Rhonda Green, who is the hospital’s director of nursing.
McGraw said that a committee formed by Chabert to search for a new administrator should name a candidate within three months.
