July 16, 2008St. Mary Parish Sheriff David Naquin said his deputies responded to 46 complaints Tuesday. The following arrests were made:
• Raymond Jackson, 71, of 121 Georgetown Road, Franklin, was arrested at 3:29 p.m. on a simple battery (domestic) warrant. While responding to a burglary alarm at a church on Prospect Road in Ashton, deputies encountered Jackson. They learned of the warrant for his arrest and transported him for booking. Jackson was later released on his own recognizance.
• King G. Charles, 48, of 141 Charles Lane, Jeanerette, was arrested at 7:26 p.m. on a warrant after failing to appear on driving under suspension and failure to use a seatbelt charges. Deputies were initially called to the scene to investigate a fireworks complaint. They arrested Charles after discovering the outstanding warrants. Bond was set at $5,000.
• Alvin N. Wilson Jr., 41, of 202 Baptiste St., Baldwin, was arrested at 9:16 p.m. on a warrant issued after he failed to appear on a criminal neglect of family charge. Deputies learned of the warrants after conducting an investigative stop. Bond was set at $3,560.20.
• Christian Henry, 21, of 1204 Willow St., Franklin, was arrested at 10:13 p.m. for disturbing the peace and public intimidation. As deputies investigated several people standing on the Willow Street sidewalk in Franklin, Henry reportedly was uncooperative and threatened agents.
• Adrian D. Goodman, 20, of 190 Willard St., Morgan City, was arrested Wednesday at 12:20 a.m. for criminal trespassing, criminal damage to property and resisting an officer. Goodman was riding a bicycle in the Railroad Avenue area in Morgan City when agents tried to stop him. Authorities said he attempted to flee, but was caught after he ran his bicycle into a car and fell to the ground on Eleventh Street.
