Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government briefing September 7, 11 a.m.

Sheriff Vernon Bourgeois, after consultation with Parish Government Employees, in charge of Parish Utilities, Water and Sewerage, has determined that he can lift the “Look and See” ban and allow residents to return to the Parish on a full-time basis. However, there are still a number of parish residents who will remain without electric and water service for several more days. Those are individuals who are serviced by SLECA and Entergy. The City of Houma should have majority of their power restored by tomorrow night. Curfew for the Parish remains in effect from 8 pm n 6 am and a parish wide ban on all alcohol sales remains in effect. Continue to monitor your local media for updates on all other important issues.
