February 7, 2007Houma Police arrested two men at a residence in the 300 block of Levron Street in West Houma Thursday after a caller notified police that they had kicked in the door, a department spokesman said.
Lt. Todd Duplantis said police found two men inside the home and caught a third, who fled when officers arrived, on Morgan Street.
Arrested were: Justin T. Johnson, 20, of 1274 St. Charles St., Apt. #K, Thibodaux; Derrick P. Reed, 26, of 244 St. Malo St., Houma; and Robert A. Whitley, 21, of 111 Truman Circle, Apt. #8, Thibodaux.
A mother and her three daughters, ages 4, 9 and 12, were found inside the house, Duplantis said. The mother told police that she and her daughters were awake when the men kicked in the door to their house, he said. One man, who was armed with a gun, demanded to know where an unknown person was. The suspects forced the woman and her children into a bathroom where the mother called 911.
Duplantis said police officers recovered the gun, which was seized as evidence.
The three men were arrested for aggravated burglary, false imprisonment/offender armed with weapon, and illegal possession of stolen firearm.
They were transported to the Terrebonne Parish Jail where they were incarcerated awaiting trial or bond, he said.
