The National Hurricane Center continues to monitor the western Caribbean for possible tropical cyclone development, and is pleased to announce the chances of development have dropped to Low (30%) chance in the next 7 days.
The possibility for development within the next 48 hours is currently near 0%. However, southeast Louisiana can expect a 30-50% chance of seeing rainfall greater than 1 inch and a 10-30% chance of seeing rainfall greater than 2 inches this upcoming weekend.
