Here is today’s list of free food locations, supply drives and a growing list of businesses open to serve you.

FREE FOOD

• Saint Thomas Aquinas is partnering with Ortho LA to distribute plate lunches to the people of Holy Family Catholic Church, Dulac, La, on Tuesday, September 14, beginning at 12pm.

• Rotary Club of Houma has partnered with Raising Cane’s to bring 200 plates of their delicious hot chicken to the Ward 7 (5006 Hwy 56) for distribution. They plan to deliver between 10:00-10:30 a.m. but please be patient if late due to heavy traffic in the area.

• Fisher’s at Orange Beach Marina is here in the parking lot next to Bayou Terrebonne Distillers serving up burgers and potato salad at 10:00 today. Come and pick up some lunch and share with those who can’t get out.

• Bayou Blue Assembly: hot meals will be served at 11:30 and 4:30.

• Southern Axe – A little rain won’t stop us, food will be ready at 12! 500 corporate drive, (same building as Wingstop Houma) Red beans with sausage and rice, sides, and bread!! We also have supplies stocked. We will load you up, you don’t have to leave the car.

• Catholic Charities: Below is a list of food and supply distributions throughout the diocese for today Tuesday, Sept 14th with APPROXIMATE start times.

9AM St. Hilary Food Pantry, Matthew: Open Daily 9AM-3PM

11AM Holy Family Church, Dulac: Hot Meals + Supply Distribution

11AM Sacred Heart Church, Cut Off: Hot Meals

11:30AM Holy Savior Church, Lockport: Hot Meals + Supply Distribution

12PM St. Joseph Church, Chauvin: Hot Meals

• FREE PROPANE! O’’Neal Gas — who provided free propane fills last week just announced…. TUESDAY MORNING (Sept. 14th) at about 10:00am— PROPANE BOTTLES filled FREE at GeauxPass Customer Service Center, 1821 South Alex Plasiance Blvd, Hwy 3235, Golden Meadow LA 70357

• Hope Extreme – Limited Supply Drive until 1pm today. We have baby supplies, cleaning supplies, and food.

WHAT’S OPEN

• Terrebonne Parish Library Branches: The North Branch and Gibson Branch will open: Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. These branches will be open Monday to Saturday.
– Computers, Internet, faxing and copy services are available.
– Story time will begin the week of September 20, 2021.
The Main Library will be closed for an extended period for mold remediation.

• Haydel Family Practice – Our office sustained significant damage from Hurricane Ida. We have relocated our services temporarily to 131 Corporate Drive in Houma (the old Houma Urgent Care building). We are operating as a walk-in clinic only at this time from 8am to 4pm. If you need to see one of our physicians, we welcome you to just show up at our temporary location. • A&G Refrigeration – The office is open 7am – 4pm, with an on-call tech 24/7. 985-446-6256.

• Women’s Health Specialist: Dr. Robert Cazayoux Jr. and Dr. Richard Clement Jr. will reopen their office, September 14, 2021. Please call 985-851-6800 to make an appointment.

• Blue Marlin Carwash on MLK is officially OPEN!!

• Downtown Nutrition in Thibodaux is open with daily specials

• Sphar’s Downtown Thibodaux is open with dine-in and take-out with a limited menu and cash only

• Firehouse Subs, 402 N. Canal Blvd., Thibodaux: “Nothing like getting knocked out by a hurricane and then finally being able to open up two weeks later during a tropical storm! I still have never been so happy to see an open sign turn on! We still have a lot of staff displaced from homes so we are starting out with limited menu and hours. Come see my amazing team and me in Thibodaux for a hot sub and some cold AC!”
