Houma Police arrested two men Saturday night after they stabbed two people as they were leaving a local lounge.

Joshua Clark, 26, of 313 Island Road, Point-Aux-Chene, and Manuel A. Moreno, 25, of 358 Monarch Dr., Apt. D, Houma, were arrested after they attacked two people outside a lounge on Main Street, said department spokesman Lt. Todd Duplantis. Clark stabbed a 20-year-old man in the neck with a knife and the second victim, a 21-year-old man, in the leg twice. Moreno, in the meantime, committed a battery on one of the victims.

Clark kicked officers and jumped on top of the police car to avoid arrest. He was charged with aggravated second-degree battery, aggravated battery, aggravated criminal damage to property, resisting an officer and two counts of battery of a police officer. Moreno was arrested for simple battery.

The 20-year-old male’s wounds did not require treatment; however, the 21-year-old’s cuts required several stitches, Duplantis said.

If convicted, Clark could face up to 15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
