December 14, 2020Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 268,613. That’s 4,462 more cases since Friday. 249,301 are confirmed; 19,312 are probable.
The state is reporting 51 new deaths, bringing the total to 6,818 deaths. 6,511 are confirmed; 307 are probable.
The total of presumed recovered as of 12/7/20 is 217,930, which is 15,039 more than last week.
Lafourche Parish is reporting 5,388 cases. There are 4,808 confirmed and 580 probable. That’s 65 new cases since Friday. They are reporting 152 deaths; 146 are confirmed and 6 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Nov. 26-Dec. 2 is 8.60%, up 7.50% from the week prior, which was 8.00%.
Terrebonne Parish is reporting 5,097 cases. There are 4,732 confirmed and 365 probable. That’s 98 more cases since Friday. They are reporting 142 deaths; 137 are confirmed and 5 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Nov. 26-Dec. 2 is 7.40%, down 5.10% from the week prior, which was 7.80%. Total recovered is 3,764 as of 11/25/20.
Statewide, there are 1,533 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 162 are on ventilators. That’s 56 less patients since Friday, and 5 less on ventilators.
The total of tests reported today is 3,927,341, which is 59,542 more tests than Friday. There are 3,774,889 molecular tests and 152,452 antigen tests.
There have been a total of 70,990 tests in Lafourche (67,005 molecular and 3,985 antigen) and 68,523 tests in Terrebonne (65,917 molecular and 2,606 antigen). That’s 856 more tests in Lafourche and 1,075 more in Terrebonne since Friday.
