April 13, 2007Houma Police arrested a local woman Wednesday after officers determined she falsely accused her husband of beating her, according to police.
Carol Kraemer, 48, of #3 Texas Ave., Houma, told officers on April 6 that she and her husband had argued, after which he beat her and then left their home, according to police.
When the officers contact her husband, the man admitted leaving the residence to avoid problems with his wife.
After further investigation, officers determined Carol Kraemer had lied about the incident. Police then issued a summons for filing a false police report.
