Adele Marie Dupre Pellegrin, 88, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Chauvin, La., died Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 9:15 p.m.

She is survived by two sons, Eddie Pellegrin Jr. and his wife Becky and Curtis Pellegrin; three daughters, Berthile LeBouef and her husband Milton, Phillis Picou and Shirleen Conrad and her husband Bruce; one brother, Ernest “E.J.” Dupre Jr.; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Pellegrin Sr.; her parents, Ernest Dupre Sr. and Josephine LeBoeuf Dupre; one son, Herman Pellegrin; one son-in-law, Jesse Picou; one grandson, Ryan James Picou; two brothers, Linest and Duffy Dupre; and two sisters, Elodie Price and Niecia Robichaux.

Adele was a devout Catholic and a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. She was a retired florist for Pellegrin Florist.

Visitation is Friday, august 10, 2007, from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin, with the funeral to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She will be buried in the church cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
