
Cassidy: Louisiana has answers for nation’s woes

June 2, 2011Albertha Moore Davis, 85, a native of Lafourche Parish, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, May 23, 2011.
Mrs. Davis served on the usher board at Moses Baptist Church. She loved reading her Bible and cooking.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Marie Davis; sons, Lawrence (Lois) Blanchard and Isaiah Davis Jr.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaiah Davis; parents, Isaiah Sr. and Susie Moore; rothers, Isaiah Jr., Oscar and Isaac Moore; and sisters, Mary and Beatrice Moore, Ida Johnson, Victoria Taylor, Olivia Carter and Viola Bolden.
She is buried at Moses Cemetery No. 2 in Thibodaux. (Kennedy)
