Alcidee C. Verdin, 71, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and a resident of Galliano, La., died Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 9:15 p.m.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Verdin; sons, Billy Ledet and Russell Ledet; daughters, Laura Ledet and Rachael Fonseca; step-daughters, Linda York and Susan Verdin; brothers, Bernie, Sonny and Ozemie Cheramie; sisters, Victoria Theriot, Dianna Cheramie and Vianne Danos; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alcide J. and Odile Gaudet Cheramie; brothers, Marcel, Lindberg, Bernice and Bennington Cheramie; and sisters, Bessie Savoie, Alcida Brunet and Avida Cheramie.
Alcidee was a devout Catholic.
Visitation is 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2008, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Golden Meadow, with the funeral to follow. She will be buried in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
