Alfred G. Robichaux Jr., 83, a native of Thibodaux, La., died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012.
Mr. Robichaux was an avid sailor, train enthusiast and U.S. Air Force veteran. He was co-owner of Shaver-Robichaux Insurance Agency and was a founding member of the Lake Palourde Yacht Club. He was a member of Rotary International, St. Vincent de Paul Society and past-president of the Louisiana Association of Mutual Insurance Agents. He loved to travel and tell jokes.
He is survived by his wife, Joel Robichaux; children, Alfred III, Will, Raoul, George and Eugene Robichaux, Sara Foret, Beth Hodnett, Renee Melancon and Alma Jackson; brother, R. Gibbens Robichaux; 24 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Joseph Cemetery. (Landry’s)
