Alphonse “Jim” Badeaux, 84, a native and resident of Larose, La., died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at 5 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Federine Badeaux; sons, Jimmy Badeaux and wife, Barbara, Jerry Badeaux and wife, Debbie, and Joey Badeaux; daughters, Margaret Chouest and Myra Theriot and husband, Leo Jr.; brothers, Freddie and Howard Badeaux; sisters, Stella Leonard and Mary Griffin; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Badeaux Sr. and Clophine Badeaux; son, Jeffrey Badeaux; brothers, Severin, Johnny and Albert Badeaux Jr.; sisters, Flossie LeBlanc and Eleola Melancon; and grandchild, Cory Chouest.
He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a member of the Holy Rosary Holy Name Society.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, and from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, La., with mass to follow Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
