Alvin H. Victor, 64, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Schriever, La., died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010.

Mr. Victor was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church, where he served on the usher board. He was a foreman with N.L. Baroid/Halliburton.

He is survived by his wife, Gerina Mitchell Victor; sons, Eugene Jr. and Hank (Vanessa) Watson; daughters, Derina and Rosalyn Watson; brother, George Victor Jr.; sister, Shirley Judon, Geraldine (Archie) Calhoun and Etta V. Thomas; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Sr. and Ethel Victor; brothers, Norman Howard and Joseph Victor; and grandparents, Frank and Clara Victor, John Battie and Alma Brown.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Thibodaux. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the church.

He will be buried at Halfway Cemetery in Gray, La.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
