Klein named All-American for fourth-season

Amy Landry Lirette, 81, a native of Choupic, La. and resident of Thibodaux, died Thursday, July 12, 2007.
She is survived by two sons, Hubert A. Lirette Jr. and his wife Kathleen and Terry J. Lirette and his wife Miranda; two daughters, Linda L. Cortez and her husband Clifford and Audrey L. Caldwell and her husband Rowland; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert A. Lirette; one daughter, Lois M. Lirette; two brothers, Jessie Landry and Johnny Landry; three sisters, Hazel Hidalgo, Emily Chiasson and Theresa Degruise; and her parents, Nelson Landry and Adella Benoit Landry.
Amy was a devout Catholic.
A Funeral Mass will be at 11:30am on Saturday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay, La. She will be buried in the church cemetery.
