Anna Mae Chiasson Vinet, 88, a native of Larose, La., and a resident of Terrebonne and Lafourche Parishes, died Thursday, Sept. 3.
She is survived by two daughters, Corlette Koster and husband Kevin, and Gloria Arceneaux and husband Magnus Jr.; two brothers, Herman and Arnold Chiasson; three sisters, Francis Bourg, Irene Pierce and Arnic Sevin; seven grandchildren, Dawn Palmisano, Zachary and Tyler Koster, Magnus “Joey” III, Bryan and Corey Arceneaux, and Angela Terrebonne; 12 great-grandchildren, Victoria and Sophia Palmisano, Jared, Maggie, Magnus “Jake” IV, Jolie, Colby, Jean Pierre, Emily, Haley and Gehret Arceneaux, and Amber Vegas; and one great-great-grandchild, Brennan Arceneaux.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Joseph Vinet Sr.; parents, Serville and Augustina “Tina” Dufrene Chiasson; one son, Nolan Vinet Jr.; and two sisters, Essie Robichaux and Eula Cheramie.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She was also a member of the Holy Rosary Bereavement Club.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
