Annie Mae “Maw” Jones Harkless, 87, a native of Labadieville, La., and resident of Gheens, La., died Thursday, March 18, 2010.

Mrs. Harkless was a member of Sunlight Baptist Church of Gheens, where she served as Mother of the Church.

She is survived by sons, the Rev. Charles (Patricia) and Ronald (Devery) Harkless; daughters, Barbara Davis, Janet (Roland) Robertson, Carol Ford, Carolyn (Rudolph) Robinson and Mary (Luther) Hawkins; adopted daughter, the Rev. Clementine Cushenberry; 27 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She is buried at St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery in Thibodaux.
