Local lawmakers’ pre-filings a mixed bag
March 25, 2010Anthony Sidney Breaux, 77, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 11:27 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010.
Mr. Breaux was a parishioner of Bayou Blue Assembly of God Church and a retired mechanic. He served in the U.S. Army from 1949 to 1952, and was a member of Gen. Douglas MacArthur’s Honor Guard as well as an active member of the Gen. MacArthur Honor Guard Association.
He is survived by his wife, Jerry Marie Vito Breaux of Houma; daughters, Cheryl (Pat) Boudreaux and Eleanor “Ellie” (Raymond) Foret, all of Houma; son, Mark (Sally) Breaux of Houma; 10 grandchildren, Travis Bergeron, Britney Breaux, Chad Robbins, Hank Breaux Jr., Catina Boudreaux Portier, Christie Boudreaux Fanguy, Patrick P. Boudreaux Jr., Matthew Breaux, Joseph Paul Foret and Michael Foret; 13 great-grandchildren, Katley Breaux, Brenon Breaux, Kristin Portier, Austin Portier, Megan Portier, Trevor Fanguy, Trey Fanguy, Tanner Fanguy, Sara Boudreaux, Emily Boudreaux,Tori Breaux, Tiar’e Bergeron and Taylor Bergeron.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Josephine Robichaux Breaux; sister, Louise Blue; brother, Leroy Breaux; and son, Hank John Breaux Sr.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Assembly of God Church Missions, Bayou Blue Assembly of God Church, 1403 Prospect St., Houma.
He is buried at Holy Rosary Church Cemetery in Houma.
