Antoine Joseph Cunningham, 86, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 1 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012.
Mr. Cunningham was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He enjoyed reading and woodworking, was an avid camper and volunteered for Mended Heart. He loved his grandkids and family. He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church
He is survived by his wife, Velma Cunningham; daughters, Carolyn Norland, Phyllis (Jerry) Starkey, Rose (Robert) Bangs, Maxine Duplantis and Melissa (Todd) Pinell; son, Patrick Cunningham; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Enes and Felicienne Cunningham.
Burial was at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. (Chauvin)
