Lt. Gov.: Despite economy, news is not all bad

Aubrey “A.J.” Adams Sr., 54, a native of Raceland, La., a former resident of Larose, La., and a current resident of Slidell, La., died Sunday, March 1, at 5 a.m.
He is survived by his daughter, Adrienne Marie Nicole Adams of Clanton, Al.; sisters, Betty Padilla of Hot Springs, Ar., Jeanette Duet and husband Tony of Cut Off, La., and Mary Boler and husband Gary of Mammoth Spring, Ar.; and 12 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Widless “Knock” and Hazel Bellanger Adams; son, Aubrey “A.J.” Adams Jr.; brother, Widless Adams Jr.; and sister, Audrey Adams.
He loved football and was an avid LSU and Saints fan. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Memorial arrangements will be announced at a later date.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of the arrangements.
