Aurelia Galliano Pitre, 91, a native of Cut Off, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012.
Mrs. Pitre was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. She worked for Mr. Mickey Brown for eight years, enjoyed fishing, gardening and sewing and was the family barber.
She is survived by her sons, Jean (Marilyn), Daniel (Ruth), Edward Jr. (Margaret) and Ricky (Vera) Pitre; daughter, Judy (Gerald) Brown; 26 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Pitre Sr.; parents, Paul and Euphemia Galliano; sons, Sterling, Larry and Jerry Pitre; daughter, Lerna Picou; brothers, Gibson, Nelton, Anthony and Jefferson Sr. Galliano; and sister, Bella Boudreaux.
Visitation will be held 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012 at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at Terrebonne Memorial Park. (Chauvin)
