Barbara Fonseca LaPorte, 76, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, March 13, 2013.
Ms. LaPorte enjoyed fishing, reading and dancing.
She is survived by her sons, Dan and Joe (Dee Ann) LaPorte; mother, Veronica Fonseca; brother, David Fonseca; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Teles Fonseca; and son, Blake LaPorte.
Visitation will be 8:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, at Chauvin Funeral Home with services to follow. Burial will be at Magnolia Cemetery. (Chauvin)
