Belta Loupe Sampey, 87, a native and resident of Lockport, La., died Wednesday, December 10, at 6:51 p.m.
She is survived by her sons, Clarence Jr. and Kirby (Ronnie) Sampey; daughters, Joyce Bruce, Jane Chiasson, Carolynn Rome, Virgie Bruce, Kathy Seven, Rita Richoux, Annie Boudreaux, Linda Taylor, Peggy Bergeron and Brenda Chiasson; brothers, Leroy and Wilcliff Loupe; 40 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Rock” Sampey; parents, Leon and Maggie Chiasson Loupe; brothers, Davis, Sidney and William (Emile) Loupe; sister, Leonia L. Delaune; sons-in-law, Norris Truxillo, Jacob Bruce, Crobett Adams and Leroy Bruce; and grandchildren, Cody Adams and Donnie Lagarde.
She loved house cleaning and her flowers. She was Catholic.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, December 12, at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
