Benny Joseph Bergeron, 77, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011.
Mr. Bergeron was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. He was a loving husband, father and “PawPaw.”
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Bergeron; sons, Benny Jr. (Belinda), Jamie (Christy) and Andrew “Andy” Bergeron; daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” (James) Parfait; 10 grandchildren, Holly (Adam) O’Brian, Katelyn, Brittany, Chelsey, Blake, Vicky, Lil Wayne, Tony, Halie’ Rayne and Emalie’ Jaymes; brothers, Avery and Bernard “Pookie” Bergeron; and sisters, Ruth Raffray, Gail Clark and Sue Geracie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Cecile Bourg Bergeron; son, Wayne Bergeron; brothers, Gerald and Clifton Jr. Bergeron; three grandchildren, Christopher, Bradly and Sadie’ Lynn; and sisters, Cecile Barker and Bonnie “Titsie” Caudell.
He is buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery. (Chauvin)
