November 17, 2011Bettie Jean Robichaux, 70, a native of Catahoula, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 6:35 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2011.
Affectionately known as “Miss Betty,” Mrs. Robichaux was the owner/director of Miss Betty’s Daycare for 28 years. She loved her students like they were her own and took great pride in her business and the care and education of the children. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Ricky (Kim), Jeff and Brian (Colette) Robichaux; sister, Rosie (Hardy) Paul; and grandchildren, Madalyn and Aiden Robichaux.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Robichaux; parents, Robert and Ida McNeely; brothers, Ralph, Harold, Coleman, Jerry and Larry McNeely; and sisters, Estelle McNeely and Louise Taylor.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, and 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Chauvin Funeral Home Funeral with services to follow. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery. (Chauvin)
