Betty Jendron Dufrene, 88, a native and resident of Gheens, La., died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012.
Mrs. Dufrene was a devout Catholic, a people person and a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed embroidery, bingo, traveling, gardening, fishing, puzzles, the casino and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Katie (Robert) Landry, Lydie (Tom) Stirrat and Vanessa Mikulka; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Dufrene; father, Sidney Jendron; mother, Lydia Jendron; and sister, Joyce Ferreira.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gheens with mass to follow. Interment will be at Holy Savior Mausoleum in Lockport, La. (Falgout)
