January 15, 2013Betty Lirette LaCoste, 74, a native and resident of Theriot, La., died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013.
Mrs. LaCoste was a devoted mother and loving wife. She leaves behind a legacy filled with compassion, love and hope shared by her entire family. She was a parishioner of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Theriot.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Malcolm LaCoste Sr.; children, Wanda (Dickie) Breaux, Donna Bernard, Malcolm Jr. (Angelia) LaCoste and Connie (Timmy) Verdin; sisters, Brenda (Roger) Liner, Amanda (Junior) Voisin, Debra McCune, Trudy Fanguy and Rhonda (Edward) Smith; brothers, Paul (Theresa), Gary (Frances), Peter (Brenda), Jesse (Mercedes), Curtis (Wynona) and Phillip Lirette; 21 grandchildren; 23 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Sr. and Leola Lirette; sons, Danny and Dwayne Sr. LaCoste; brother, Robert Lirette Jr.; and sister, Judy Lirette.
Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Chauvin Funeral Home Funeral with services to follow. Interment will be at St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin)
