Brenda “Bren” “Heavy” Morris, 58, a native and resident of Napoleonville, La., died at Assumption Community Hospital in Napoleonville, Thursday, August 7.
She is survived by her husband, Otis Morris Sr. of Napoleonville; four sons, Shelton, Brylin and Otis Morris Jr., and Tre’Shawn Jupiter, all of Napoleonville; two daughters, Adrian Jupiter of Akron, Oh., and Faith Johnson of Napoleonville; nine stepchildren, Adam Davis of Donaldsonville, La., Spencer and Debbie Davis, Phyllis D. Fredrick of Paincourtville, La., Otis Davis of Bertrandville, La., Bridget Davis of Houston, Tx., Keon and Jessica Smith, and Tiffany Johnson, all of Napoleonville; two brothers, Lionel Jupiter of Napoleonville and Wayne Joseph of LaPlace, La.; six sisters, Betty Burd, Hester Williams and Bernice Jupiter, all of Napoleonville, Gertrude Smith of New Orleans, La., Dianne Williams of Gray, La., and Elaine Joseph of LaPlace; 31 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Letha Jupiter; one granddaughter; three sisters; and two brothers.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, August 15,at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, August 16, at Shekinah Glory Christian Fellowship Church in Donaldsonville with a religious service to follow. She will be buried at Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of the arrangements.
