Lafourche permit office tries to stymie
April 21, 2011Brenda Lee Prince Cooks, 57, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Gibson, La., died Tuesday, April 5, 2011.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest Cooks Jr.; son, Troynell Cooks; daughters, Patrice (Eric) Thomas and Marlene Cooks; godchild, Martika Prince; brothers, Sterling (Isabella) Washington Sr., and Gerald (Kim), Earlesy III (Sandra) and Gregory (Cynthia) Prince; sisters, Virginia (Herbert) Butler, Lourean (Preston) McGee, Irene and Elizabeth (Paul) Prince and Denise Steel; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earlesy Jr. and Thelma Washington Prince; grandparents, Earlesy Prince Sr., Elizabeth Toups Diggs, Jack and Dora Rollins Washington, and Ruffin and Veinus Rollins Smith; and her great-grandparents, Numa Prince and Marie Thilomen Edmond.
She is buried at New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Schriever, La. (Community)
