Bruce Anthony Picou Jr., 55, a native of Houma, La. and resident of Jefferson, La., passed away at his residence Monday, May 11, at 6:13 a.m.

He is survived by his beloved companion, Roy G. Jones of Jefferson, La.; three siblings, Diane Picou Cenac and Barbara Picou Authement, both of Houma, La., and Pauline Picou Britt of Thibodaux; La., three brothers-in-law, Butch Cenac, Pat Authement and Thomas Britt; four nieces, Mandy Thibodeaux, Julie Cenac, Monique Dupre and Cheri Shelby; three nephews, Guy Paul Cenac, Patrick Authement and Christopher Britt; six great-nieces, Amanda Authement, Katelyn, Skylar, Brooke and Calie Shelby, and Mallory Britt; two great-nephews, Douglas Thibodeaux and Jacques Dupre; two godchildren, Anthony Boudreaux and Patrick Authement; and four pets Stella, Peanut, Jazz and Tinkerbell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Isabella “Belle” Boudreaux Picou and Bruce A. Picou Sr.; and his two siblings, Alidore J. Picou and Gail Francis Picou.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, La. and 8 to 10 a.m. Friday, May 15, at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral in Houma. La. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Garden of Memories Funeral Home of Metairie is in charge of arrangements.
