C.A. “Gus” Lipari, 73, a resident of St. Mary Parish, La., died Tuesday, July 24, 2012.
Mr. Lipari earned a theology degree from Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, La., a master’s degree in guidance and counseling from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, and served as a teacher and guidance counselor in St. Mary Parish for 33 years. He was elected to the Patterson City Council in 1978 and Mayor of Patterson in 1986.
He is survived by his wife, Mikie Lipari: daughter, Laurie (Charles) Silvan; son, Joey (Blagomira) Lipari; sister, Leona Armato; brothers, Louis (Suzanne), Luke (Kay) and Lenny (Robin) Lipari; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Leo Lipari; and brother, Peter Lipari.
Burial was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. (Ibert’s)
